Pressing that Battery Alarm Clock's Snooze Button: Is Your Alarm Clock Loud Enough?

Update: December 18th, 2009

Many are guilty of sleeping heavily especially during the colder months. So when that loud battery alarm clock starts to ring, one can easily press that snooze button and fall asleep once again.

Battery alarm clocks are sometimes ignored if they are not loud enough, especially by those heavy sleepers. A simple press of the snooze button can end that bothering sound, making you late again for work or your first class in the morning.

When test days come, some students pull themselves up by putting their alarm clocks across the room. This prevents them from pressing that snooze button and would be forced to pull out of bed to shut it off. This is particularly effective with loud alarms.

Have you seen the large red bell that is commonly used in alarm systems? They are now used as alarm clocks. And they are pretty loud. The giant red metal dome really makes for a big sound. As another option, there are also available models that a high-toned beeper.

There are imitations of ambulance and police siren-sound alarm clocks too. This can truly force a heavy sleeper to rise in the morning. With newer innovations, some loud alarm clock also comes with a vibrating devices and bed shakers. This scheme of a loud ambulance tone followed by a shaking mattress will truly disturb even the heaviest of the sleepers. But if your problem is still not solved, then it's time for you to check into the origin of your problem. And that is your body.

Check your health and seek some medical advice, if needed. In fact, the body hates oversleeping. Oversleeping can cause neck pain, depression, lack of energy, and headaches. Adjust your alarm clock with your own sleep-wake pattern and sleep early if possible. So it can be easier for you to be able to get up early in the morning.

Nevertheless, I have still seen some people walk across a room and shut the alarm off and then return to sleep. So what's the point of putting the alarm on if you are not going to get up anyway? That is quite useless. When you set an alarm, you have to get up or force yourself to. Having a difficulty waking up is a plain but awfully annoying problem. If you have a hard time solving the problem with a loud noisy alarm clock, then you can still explore a lot of different choices.
